Mike was super friendly and efficient. Really knew what he was doing and fixed my system perfectly. I have had a membership with Naiad for a number of years now and he was by far the best tech I’ve had to service my irrigation system.

Naiad was by our home recently to do spring startup maintenance on our irrigation system. Tech John arrived a little early to our appointment, he called ahead to be sure that was okay. From start to finish John was courteous and professional with his work and communication. John was thorough; he tested valves, tested each zone for pressure, adjusted all the sprinkler heads to ensure optimum coverage. Thanks John and Naiad, two thumbs up!

Josaphat V. has been out to look after our system a couple of seasons now. He is always very thorough and professional. Willing to answer any questions and perfectly comfortable to have in the home when he needs to access the controls. We are very happy with our service.

I had the pleasure of meeting Michael the irrigation technician for my irrigation system. He was incredibly professional, friendly and resourceful. He was incredibly polite and answered all of the many many questions I had for him. He showed me how everything worked and explained to me how and why things work the way they did so I would know my system. He serviced my system and let me know what possibly might have to be corrected In the future. He was not pushy in any way whatsoever. He did not leave until he insured that everything was working as it should be and everything was In working order. It is refreshing in today’s times to have this kind of service. If I could give Michael a 10 star review I would. I will strongly recommend Michael and the company to anyone that is in need of an irrigation specialist Thank you very much Michael my kindest regards M Gallo

I recently had Naiad install an irrigation system for me at the end of last summer, and I have to say, they went above and beyond in every aspect. Despite initially expecting a 2 to 3-day job, they were 95% done after just one day and completely finished by 10am the next morning. I opted for the full package with an automatic fertilizer system and rain sensor, all controllable and customizable through an app. Though I didn’t get much time to fully utilize it before winterizing, my lawn was noticeably greener in just three weeks. Based on my brief but impressive experience, I highly recommend both irrigation systems and Naiad for their exceptional service.

It all depends on where you live and the size of your property. In and around Calgary in 2021, $6,500-$8,500 for a complete residential underground sprinkler system, including mainline, pulling a permit, Wi-Fi timer and sprinklers.
The smallest residential irrigation system we installed in 2022 cost $4,500, and the most expensive was $15,000.
It all depends on weather. In Calgary, Alberta, we typically start turning on sprinkler systems on the first Monday in May. We tell clients they should have their irrigation system up and running by the Victoria Day Long Weekend.
Yes, you do. Every fall, most of the water must be expelled from the irrigation system. Otherwise, it will freeze, expand, and damage your underground irrigation system in the winter.
A sprinkler system should be winterized before overnight temperatures fall below zero degrees Celsius. For us here in Alberta, we recommend winterizing your irrigation system before the end of September.
We have had a few years when the overnight lows have been cold enough to damage the main waterline for the irrigation system as early as September 28th. Ultimately, you can run it later into the season, but there is always the risk that a cold overnight low could damage your irrigation system.
The bit of pipe that goes from the house to the valve box is most at risk. That bit of pipe is exposed to the elements and can freeze more easily than the pipes or sprinklers in the ground.
Yes, the device must be tested each year prior to turning on your irrigation system to ensure that the device is functioning properly.
During a spring activation service, an irrigation professional will turn on your irrigation system for the season. During the activation process the professional will go through the entire system to ensure that all heads are adjusted for proper coverage, check the programming of the system and identify any potential issues or repairs that may be needed on the system.
If there are any repairs or potential changes to be made to the system, the professional can provide an estimate for you, and in most cases, complete the repairs or changes during the activation appointment
